Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts
Saturday August 23rd, 10am – 7pm
Sunday August, 24th, 11am- 5pm
Go-Buffalo is taking part in the festival's Environmental Row
Environmental Row will be located on Auburn Avenue. Come and learn about clean Wind and Solar energy alternatives and find out how to decrease energy consumption while lowering utility bills. Check out the status of our local waterways and see what's growing green in Buffalo.
To encourage you to ride your bike to the festival, Environmental Row will feature Bike Valet service for 30 bikes, courtesy of Go Buffalo.
This year, the Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts will have 2 Solar Powered stages. The Dance tent stage at the Unitarian Universalist Church will be powered by the locally owned and operated Solar Liberty Energy Systems, Inc and The Great Renewable Energy Show (back for the 6th year) will be providing solar power to the Wilson Farms stage!
In conjunction with the Great Renewable Energy Show, EAFA's 2008 Festival Cafe will be bringing back the Solar Cafe. Their environmental mission and delicious menu items make them a very popular addition to the festival.
For the 3rd year in a row EAFA will be composting all of the vegetable waste from the Festival Cafe, and as always we will be actively recycling plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans throughout the Festival.
